Collegiate Young Farmer & Rancher
Collegiate Young Farmers and Ranchers (Collegiate YF&R) is an organization founded as a partnership between the North Carolina Farm Bureau Federation and Mount Olive College. The goal of Collegiate YF&R is to promote leadership development for college students entering the field of agriculture.
YF&R members are given the opportunity to participate in the North Carolina Farm Bureau Collegiate Discussion Meet. This competition encourages participants to research and discuss current topics affecting the agriculture industry with other young farmers and ranchers from across North Carolina. Each year, one competitor from North Carolina will move on to the national competition at the annual American Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmers & Ranchers Leadership Conference.
Mount Olive College Collegiate YF&R is also an active member in the community by participating in service projects such as Harvest for All. Harvest for All is the annual food drive campaign supported by the North Carolina Farm Bureau Federation and American Farm Bureau Federation. This project collects food to be distributed to local families in need. If you are interested in becoming a part of Mount Olive College Young Farmers and Ranchers please visit us at one of our meetings!
The Collegiate Young Farmer & Rancher meets every other Wednesday: 5:00-7:00pm.
